Airbus C295

The India C295 program is the first major ‘Make in India’ program in the aerospace domain, in private sector and will usher in a new era for aerospace manufacturing in India. The Program will allow Tata to develop unique capabilities in country and will allow for strategic positioning for Tata Advanced Systems for long term growth. Tata as the Indian Aircraft Contractor (IAC) for the Program will be responsible from manufacturing and engineering of detail parts to complete final assembly of the Airbus Defence & Space C295 aircraft including developing unique capabilities for engines and avionics testing and installation, rain water test, flight test and for long term fleet support, modification and upgrades.

Tata Advanced Systems will also develop an extensive India supplier footprint for the Program by enabling fabrication of various parts and components by various suppliers including an overwhelming participation of the Indian MSMEs. The Program will also create +20,000 direct and indirect jobs in-country.
